Rae started getting into music at the age of 13 learning to play a battered old guitar that was in his loft at home. He never had lessons but bought a guitar tablature book of "what's the story morning glory" and set himself the target of being able to play along to the cd.
He spent the next 14 years playing guitar pretty much on his own except for a few brief attempts at bands with friends. Around Christmas 2009, Rae was asked to tune a toy Ukulele for a friends son which he duly did. It was then he realised that ukuleles were in fact actual instruments that could be mastered. He bought a solid wood uke and started playing the songs that he would normally play on guitar.
A short time later, he created a YouTube account and posted himself playing and singing after only playing the uke for an hour.
His recording was met with amazement from people claiming there was no way he had just picked one up. He has now gone on to get a large following on YouTube and gigging locally around the Hampshire area with his selection of unique covers of current chart songs and originals.
At present, he is recording his first single, due to be released at Christmas, at Quay West Studios.
